Project Description

After the scaffold was erected, the team were on site and ready to complete the repairs and eventual re-coating of the archway. Firstly, we sanded all areas, scraping any rust patches leaving us a perfectly prepared surface. Secondly, we applied smooth filler to the rusted areas we previously exposed, to prevent patches showing up in the final paintwork and putting a further layer of protection against the rust. Finally, we used highly durable industrial paint to do 3 coats all over, firstly a primer and then 2 topcoats. This will give the building protection for the next 20-25 years.
